WOOD you still be mine? A cute beaver Valentine!

I had a lot of fun making this Valentine's Day card for my hubby! Though I was having a very difficult time with my bipolar at the time I was working on this card, I put my mind to it and I got this done!
It's sometimes difficult making "cute" cards for my hubby that don't turn out 'girly'. I know a lot of my card making friends have this same problem. I actually had to turn to my card making friends in one of my Facebook groups to get help with the colors for this card. Thankfully, several of the ladies threw out the same color suggestions of red and yellow or red and gold.
That helped me greatly in picking the papers for this card. I originally had teal, rose pink and brown picked out. ICK! I'm so glad my friends were able to help me out in the color selection.

Anyhow, I got to use this CUTE beaver stamp that I have to make hubby's card, and I added a lot of other cute elements to make the card complete, including getting to use my new sewing machine that I got for Christmas, to sew some borders on the card (inside and out).

My bugs! My bugs! My bugs!...said Oogie Boogie!

Happy Christmas to my hubby!!!! It's no secret to anyone that knows us, we LOVEEEEEEE The Nightmare Before Christmas!
Hubby's favorite character is Oogie Boogie, but we also really adore Lock, Shock and Barrel.

Anyhow, I wanted to make something for hubby for Christmas that was related to the movie, and what better than an Oogie Boogie, himself? NOTHING! So, that's what I did. I made him a miniature Oogie Boogie doll.

Mother's Day Cards Set 1 (see post below for set 2)

I hope everyone had a wonderful mother's day!! I just spent some time with my hubby and our "fur babies". :) as good as it will ever get for us as "parents", but I've come to be at ease with that. Since I couldn't be with my ma and grandma, I made them some LOVELY cards!!

I ended up making 6 cards all together So to show them all I will make 2 posts... this post will be post 1, and will have my grandma's, my ma's and my MIL's cards. the post below this post on my blog will be post 2 and will have the additional cards I made...
