Live for Today

Live for today, making new memories everyday that you will be able to cherish tomorrow!
I made this set of 4 cards. They are blank inside so they could really be for just about any occasion, celebration or remembrance.

**This set of 4 cards IS FOR SALE** Priced at $12 for all 4 cards (comes with envelopes).

These were fun to make, my favorite part, weaving the ribbon through the lace. I LOVE to do that with so many of my cards, but now I'm out of lace, so I have to go shopping soon!
To make the cards more classic and vintage I added some pearls to each of the card. I think lace and pearls go well together.

All set of 4.

That's it for this post, I've got a few other things to share so check back soon!

Sympathy for a Friend

Earlier this year one of my friends had a relative pass away. I made this card for her and sent it out quickly for it to arrive to her fast.

I used soft pale pink and green for the flowers and brown as an accent for the card. I put gems in each corner to just give the card something extra so it wasn't so blah. The ribbon is iridescent brown and it sparkles really pretty.

This is the sentiment I used on the inside.

She liked the card

This was a quick and simple card and can be made up pretty quickly. I hope this inspires you to make some sympathy cards to have on hand. I made 4 more in different colors just to have in case I needed them.
Thanks for stopping by, be sure to come back soon I've got lots of other cards I'm posting.

Washi Tape Fun--Washi Strip Cards (4)

My friend Veronica got me HOOKED on Washi Tape...that's not a good thing because I honestly can't afford it (both hubby and I are on disability-SSD only). But when I was at her house she let me play with her hundreds of rolls, and that's literally hundreds of rolls. LOL

Anyhow, here are some cards I made with her washi tape and my card candy. click the link below to see allll the pics. (I'm posting the cards I have pics of, I have about 30 more cards made up for a quick grab and send, but I don't have pics of them)

"With Sympathy" and "Thanks Sew Much"

this post has a sympathy card and a thanks card! My friend Rhonda (my loyal customer that I'm always making cards for) told me last week that her auntie passed away. She was very sad as she said this was the auntie that she was closest to. I made her a card :)

the 2nd card is a "thanks sew much" card. this card was actually just "thrown" together (haha, sewn together, not quite!) and it didn't turn out how I wanted it. the coloring job is bad (I'm ASHAMED of myself!!!) and it just isn't what I wanted it to be! it did come out cute, and it's what I wanted it to be as far as 'layout' goes but I'm not happy with my coloring job. I think that is really what throws me off with this card! I never color this bad, but I was RUSHING to do this card early into the morning last night before I had to get up to leave at 4am to go to the airport to get our friend Jenn who's in visiting from Lost Wages, erm, I mean, ehhh hemmmmm, Las Vegas (haha, I can call it that cause I used to live there!).

Anyhow, here are sneak peeks of the 2 cards, click the link to see the rest of the pics!
