3 Birthday Cards!

Howdy Y'all. How are you all doing? things around here have been SO hectic for the last week, but I finally found some time to sit down and make a few cards :)
I was finally able to get my wisdom tooth surgically removed this past Monday. and boy was that a hassle and painful! I'm still in quite a bit of pain and these 3 stitches in my gum are irritating, to say the least! LOL
but, it's out and I'm glad, and this pain will be temporary! My back surgery is rescheduled for the 30th of this month (was mid November, but they had a cancellation so they penciled me in!) so I have a LOT to get done still by way of cards for my "Secret Santa Swap". haha I have to make 20+ cards for my partner, I've got half done, just haven't posted them here yet (shhhhhh she follows my blog!!) ;)

My take on a 21'st Bday card!

I meant to post this card here on my blog earlier, but I just got home from the hospital yesterday, so that wasn't a posibility. long story short, lots of GI (gastrointestinal) issues and just a fun time. was in since monday and I'm bruised up and beaten up after a few surgical procedures. very tired and worn down, both physically and mentally!!!! but I wanted to make sure to get this card up here! it's too damn cute NOT to share it :)
My younger, but much bigger than me, brother just turned 21!! I wanted to make him a quick and simple card... Hubby urged me to just "buy" him one, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it! He never calls me and thanks me for the cards and I'm pretty sure they just get thrown in the trash. but I don't live with him so who knows. :-/

I wanted to do something 'cute' but not to childish, but still kinda cool and flashy. I like the how the overall card turned out, but I don't like that it turned out so child-like. eh, I can't win 'em all, it did turn out cute and actually a little better than I planned. :)

Another Birthday Card!

Grandma's bday is on the 14th, but grandpa's is on the 22nd. So tonight I threw together a quick card. I have to admit making a masculine card is very difficult, but I just picked some NON girlish colors and went with it. lol took me 10 minutes to craft this while chatting with my friend Laurie on Skype. :) I wanted to go with a "retro" look since my grandpa is older. LOL (much older! haha)
