Beautiful (3D) Butterflies

Thankfully, I was able to make these BEATUFIUL butterfly cards (for different occassions), thanks to lovely lady in one of my card groups on Facebook. Sadly, my retired SU! Doily Die stopped cutting and no tricks were working. This sweet lady in my group sent me her doily die because she didn't use it anymore (plus sent me another SU! doily die that cuts 3 smaller doilies in one die-isn't that the sweetest?!). I was able to cut some doilies and make these cute cards. One of which I'm going to send to sweet Ms. J. as a thank you.

I made a set of 4 cards, here's a preview of the card, but you'll have to click below to see the whole card.

For Mother, just because...

I made a card for my Mother. We've had a rocky relationship, but the past year it's been ever so great! My Ma has helped me financially, but most of all, mentally and emotionally, which she didn't always know how to do. But she's learning and that makes me happy. This wasn't a mothers day card, it was a just because card!

Here's a preview of the card, click below to see the rest.

Fabulous Flamingo Mother's Day

My SIL's Hubby asked me to make her a card for Mother's Day from him. I gave him a few stamp sets to choose from and he chose a Flamingo stamp set.

Here's a sneak peek at the card, you know what to do to see the full card...

Hexagons of the heart

Before I got my new Mother's Day stamps I just worked on a set of 4 mini cards to be "love" themed on the front, I figured I could add the Mother's Day sentiment to the inside once the stamps got here.

So, here's what I came up with, no preview so you know what to do...

Swirly Mother's Day

I made 2 more mini Mother's Day cards and they turned out beautiful with the swirly die cut that I stamped the images on. I don't have previews of these 2 cards, so you know what to do...

Framed Mother's Day cards

I mentioned in one of my other blog posts that I got a big card order from a friend. So, while I was making the cards for her order, I made extras for the Mom's that hubby and I had to send cards to.

Here is a set of 4 cards that I made (all with different base sentiments). No preview of these cards, so you know what to do...

Mother's Day Thinking of You (2 cards)

I was very happy with the recent Birthday card that I made for my Ma, so I decided to use the same flowers for 2 different card layouts.

Here's a sneak peek of the 2 different cards, click below to see the full cards...

Thinking of You for Mother's Day (2 Cards)

When I first started on my Mother's Day  cards, I didn't have any stamps related to Mother's Day so the cards I started making were just "Thinking of You" cards. But before I could finish making all of the Mother's Day cards I needed to make my own Ma was nice and bought me 2 very lovely sets (cards with those sets will be shown in a few other posts).

Anyhow, I made 2 pretty thinking of you cards. I don't have any previews so you know what to do...

Thinking of You, For You & Mother's Day

I needed a thinking of you card for a friend, and when I was finished with it, I liked it so much I decided to replicate but change part of it for some "For You" cards for Mother's Day. Here's a sneak peek of 2 aspects of 1 card, but there are different cards in the set, you know what to do to see the rest of the card...

More Framed Florals

I had created some cards like this a few weeks ago, but I decided to make some more for Mother's Day. I had to leave off an element thought from these that were on the last set of cards I created. No preview, so...

Fun and Fanciful Mother's Day

This year was a fun and fanciful Mother's Day! :)
I made a fun card for my Ma, and a fancy, classy card for my Grandma.

This year for Mother's day, I wanted to try something new in my card making. It was my first ever attempt at making a card that wasn't perfectly squared, that didn't simply open from the side or the top. I made my first ever "center step card" for my Ma. For starters, I am HORRIBLE at measuring. usually I just lay paper on top of each other, scoot it over a tad and draw a small line at bottom, as to mark where I need to cut for the layers. LOL
Well, I didn't even have a ruler, so I got one at walmart. it's a really pretty fiskars ruler, and it was marked .97. it rang up as .10, yes, ten cents, people!!

Anyhow, the card came out awesome! I had been fussing with it for about 2 hours and i still couldn't get it down, after measuring, re-measuring, watching 4 you tube tutorials, I was still STUCK. so, I just put the card aside and moved onto my Grandma's card. the next day, when I got up, I searched one more time on you tube for a video tutorial, and I FINALLY understood from watching it.  BEST tutorial on how to do this card!!

Anyhow, here are my cards, click below to see.

Taking Orders...

With May coming up, there are several different holidays that people like to give cards out for. I usually get a lot of orders for these holidays I'm listing, so I like to give early notice...I am now taking orders for custom, Handmade BY ME cards to give out for the following holidays:

  • Nurses Day (May 12, 2012)
Nurses Week begins on May 6th and ends on May 12th (Florence Nightingale's birthday) which has been designated as International Nurses Day. This week is celebrated to recognize the contributions that nurses and nursing makes to the community.
I have an adorable little nurse stamped image that can be used on a card for a nurse. This would be a wonderful thank you idea :)

  • Mother's Day (May 13, 2012)
I have a HUGE selection (well over 100) of stamps and other craft products that I can creativly use for a beautiful mother's day card. I can make faux quilted cards, handmade paper flowers, cards with stitching, cards with lace etc.
  • Armed Forces Day (May 19, 2012)
Armed Forces Day is a day to recognize and honor the military forces in your nation. Nations throughout the world participate in observing this day.
This would be a wonderful holiday for a Red, White and Blue (or stars, or combination of) Thank You card, or even a Thinking Of you Card. I CAN do these cards in bulk orders, or in smaller cards such as mini sets.
  • National Maritime Day (May 22, 2012)
National Maritime Day is a day for the U.S. to observe its proud maritime heritage and honor the men and women who serve and have served as merchant mariners.
I have a 2 different stamp sets that can be used for this theme of card, a beach set with lighthouses and a also a lovely sail boat stamp
If you would like a card made for any of these holidays, please e-mail me. I can be reached at bipolarcrafter@yahoo.com

Thanks!
Keep on Scrappin' and please, be kind to one another!
