Thinking of You with WASHI Tape-Nephew and SIL

So since Hubby and I made Valentine's cards for our nephews, great niece and great nephew, we thought it only fair that we send the Mama and our oldest nephew a card as well. Just a cute little thinking of you card for each of them!

Cards for a Queenly Friend

In my craft group, there is something called QOTM, Queen Of The Month. Each month a new lady is chosen to be the Queen of the group, and we all (the group members) shower her with gifts of RAK's (random acts of kindness). This month, our Queen was Ms. Lela. I made her a lovely envelope of goodies, though now, for the life of me, I can't remember even half of what I included. :-/ I should have written it down! LOL very forgetful these days with the new meds I'm on.

So, here is a sneak peek at the card I made, click below for full pics and deets along with a list of supplies used.

A Few Forgotten Cards

Usually, as soon as I'm done with cards, I take photos. If it's night time, I take the best pics I can of the cards (since I don't have a photo tent to get great pics of the cards), and then wait until the next day and take pics outside.

It is very rare that I wait longer than a couple of days to post pics on my blog. But, today I was browsing through my computer to transfer pics to the flash drives my ma got me for christmas, and I came across a few cards that I realized I never posted here. So here are 4 easter cards that I made earlier this year for my friend Rhonda to give to her niece's and her MIL. I did 3 bunny cards, same layouts with the bunnies on 2 cards and then a mirrored layout on the 3rd one, but all 3 cards are different colors, and the bunnies are different colors as well. I also did a Magnolia/Tilda card for her MIL.

Here are a couple sneak peeks. click below to see the full pics. I hope you enjoy them, I can't believe I forgot to share them, they are SO adorable!!!

My card names:
Basket Tilda
Yellow Bunny
Pink Bunny

Purple Bunny

Before you read on, please know that this post is VERY image heavy. There are 18 pics in all, so if you're on any internet besides high speed cable modem, it may take a few moments for all the photos to load.

2 beautiful thinking of you cards; Sympathy and Get Well.

Last week I made two cards. Hubby and I got word that our surrogate mama was back in the hospital due to a few health problems. We were not happy to hear this. she has been having a lot of health issues lately, so I figured I would make her a card to cheer her up. We also got word that a friend of ours mother had passed away. I wanted to make a card for her as well. I wasn't sure how well it would be received, as I'm always scared to give someone a sympathy card, but hopefully she likes it! I always say, it's the thought that counts, even if someone just throws it in the trash.

Here are the 2 cards... a small preview, clickety, click, click below to see the full deets. :)

Father's Day Cards

With Father's Day just around the corner, I had to get really busy earlier this week and get the 4 cards done that I needed to make. I went in for surgery on wednesday the 6th to have my gallbladder out, and knew I wouldn't feel up to doing much this weekend or the coming week. and boyyyyy was I right! I feel like crap! my stomach and right side is really swollen and very bruised up. I feel like someone beat me in the tummy and side with a baseball bat.

Anyhow, I was able to get the cards done that I needed to make. I will try to update this the best I can, I'm on a lot of meds right now and I will do my best and keep it short and to the point... the cards are for my daddy and our friend Mike (he is like mine and hubby's surrogate dad) I just "up-cycled" 2 cards that I had previously made. I took the inside part out and added a new inside. the one card I did that for, for my daddy was already a card for him, that I had forgot to send him a while back. So, it was still his card, haha. the card for Mike was just a spare birthday card that I made, so I took the inside out and replaced it with a new inside for father's day that I made.

I only had to make 2 "fresh" cards that weren't previously completed. One for my granddad and one for Mike from his daughter (for her to give to him).
Here is a sneak peek of one of the cards...
