Christmas Joy

I am so behind on posting my Christmas cards from 2016, but I'm getting them done, and seeing all of them is actually putting me in the spirit to make some more christmas cards for this year! Of course, they will have to wait until all my Halloween cards are done. Hubby and I are HUGE fans of Halloween...We have some Halloween stuff here and there throughout the house, plus all of our Nightmare Before Christmas stuff, we have LOTS of that stuff as decoration. :D

Anyways, here is the card, sneak peek, click the link below to see the rest.
Here's the front of the card. I LOVE how this card turned out. this is definitely one I am going to do a repeat of this year.
For the top left corner I used a partial piece of the SU! doily die and put some silver stickles on it and inked the edge red all around. In the top right corner I just did a single snowflake, whereas in the bottom right corner I did 3 snowflakes.

The bird is stamped in ultra metallic silver ink, it took about 2 hours total to dry, so I had to just set the whole card aside and work on other pieces so that I didn't smear the ink.
Finally after the ink dried, I cut a red mat to put the image on, and then I stapled some ribbon to it on the right. on the left I added some beaded ribbon. I used my snowflake punch to punch out a border to put at the bottom. I totally love how all this came together. this card took me about 15 minutes to make, aside from waiting for the ink to dry on the bird.

See the bird shining? I stamped the joy and then used my decorative punch to punch it out  and I inked the edges in red.

While waiting for the bird to dry, I worked on the inside of the card. I stamped some stars in the bottom right corner and did a sentiment at the top with a stamped flag.

So what do you think of this card? I love it and I can't wait to make more again this year! We have SO many cards to give out this year, I've already made my Halloween card list and I've partially finished our Christmas card list. I hope you're starting to think about your christmas list for cards!
