Hubby and I don't have children, (well, just one grown one we've adopted by word) but we do have furbabies. This June I made him a father's day card from our 2 kitties and our doggy. I love how it came out, it is so cute! When I put it on my FB page, everyone loved it!
I received the sentiment from a friend in a batch of images she sent me. I crossed out the "me" and wrote "us". He really is a good daddy to our babies, he does everything to take care of them. Especially cleaning the kitty box which I can't do because of the dust and my extremely severe allergies.
I also received the paw print cut out, but it was on a bigger sheet, so I just cut down to size what I needed to mat the sentiment on. I added some red string to match the babies hearts and the "us" from the sentiment. Yep, those are red sequin, too!
I had this studio G cat and dog (separate sets) so I knew I had to come up with something to use.
I inked the cat once and then stamped it on the piece of clear plastic that comes with the stamp-a-ma-jig and I carefully pressed it down onto cardstock. It stamped quite well, I only needed to fill in 2 tiny parts. I fussy cut them out and then stamped the doggy and fussy cut it out as well. I colored all 3 with my prismacolor pencils and blended them with gamsol.
There is a LOT of dimension to this card.
On the inside I punched out little paws with my paw punch. I punched them in the color of our furbabies paws. the top 2 are for our kitties and the bottom is for our doggy. On the top one I had to color in little black spots cause one of our kitties jelly beans are grey with black dots (jelly beans = paw pads), I think it came out cute.
Hubby really liked his card, I'm so glad he did (I knew he would). I hope you liked the card, too. Please check back often as I have more to post.
Keep on Craftin'
