Hexagons and Flowers

 I needed to make a birthday card for a friends wife and this is what I came up with. Sneak peek...

This is a replication of a card that I've made in the past, but it's been so long since I made it that I kinda messed up a little bit. The card turned out just as pretty as the last time I made it, though I know next time I decide to make one similar there are a few things I need to change to make the floral image on the front clear and perfect.

I used a hexagon embossing folder and inked it up with Versamark and then pressed it down on the cardstock. I used clear embossing powder to get the shiny look to it. I then inked the whole sheet of cardstock with SU! Chocolate Chip ink to give it a distressed look.

I stamped a simple birthday sentiment and added 3 gems going from large to small. For the lace, I wove in some coordinating color friendship bracelet thread.

This is the inside of the card. I love how it turned out, kinda looks water colored.

That's all for this card. Though my technique wasn't perfect this time around, I still think the card came out very pretty. My friend liked it very much.
