Rainbow and Butterflies

I made a set of 8 cards, all have a rainbow background with some GORGEOUS heat embossed butterflies on top, and each card has a different sentiment. I hope you like them...

Ok, to start off, I made the rainbow background using rainbow striped cardstock, and I matted that on top of black cardstock so it had a bold top and bottom. I then stamped all the butterflies in versamark and heat embossed them in snow white embossing powder on vellum paper (very thin, lightly frosted see through paper). I then die cut each butterfly with the matching metal cutting dies. I slightly folded the middle of each butterfly around the end of a paintbrush to make the wings stand out in 3D. I only glued the middle part of the butterflies down to the cardstock.

For this card, I used some of my already made "card candy" (the sentiment tag) and popped it up 3D with foam tape

For this card, I used a plain sentiment and I popped it off the card with 3D foam tape

I heat embossed this sentiment in black embossing powder

This sentiment is also heat embossed in black embossing powder. It's SO shiny and glossy!

Another heat embossed sentiment

Here I've used a framed sentiment and popped it off the card with 3D foam tape.

Another heat embossed sentiment

Here I've used another piece of my already made card candy. All of its layers are 3D and it's popped off the card with 3D foam tape

So, these cards were a little time consuming because of doing all the heat embossing, but they were fun to make. I did an assembly line set up for each piece of the card elements and they came together quickly  once I was done with the heat embossing.

I hope you've enjoyed my creations here, keep coming back, I have more to share.

Keep on Craftin'
