For this craft, quite often I find that after making a card or something, I like it SO much that I don't want to give it to the person I made it for, so I end up making a duplicate for myself. LOL I've known plenty of crafters who do the same thing!
Here's a sneak peek, Click below to see what I came up with!
For this craft, I originally started to make it for a friend, but things with her got very out of control (behavior on her end) and I had to cut the friendship off and walk away. It's a sad loss for me because I already have a hard time making friends because of my mental health issues, but it's harder when the relationship goes bad and I have to walk away.
ANYHOW, I was going to just scrap this craft, i.e. throw it in the trash, but after looking at it a few times over a period of a month trying to figure out how to salvage it to make it something I'd like I finally figured it out! So, Here goes! I'll explain along the way...
Ok, This is the original craft. I took a full 8 1/2 x 11 piece of cardstock and stamped the vases and did some masking on the top of them so I could stamp the different flowers and such.
I used my MS border punch and punched a 5 strips, 1 for each side and 1 extra to cut pieces to add to the corners. With the cardstock that was left after the punching, it left a PERFECT size strip for me to put on top of the white cardstock to make the frame seamless (the punched border pieces are attached to the back of the white cardstock).
I did a few different single and tri-colored butterflies to add to the frame, and I added a gem to the middle of each butterfly and then I rolled their wings around a pencil so they weren't just flat.
On each of the vases I used Diamond and Star Dust Stickles. Hard to see the glitter in the picture but when holding it, those vases sparkle so pretty!
I wanted to add some sort of sentiment to this, but I couldn't think of one, I'm still trying to think of a good one, and if I can figure it out and I add it, I'll come back and update with that.
Well, that's all for now.
Keep on Craftin'
