Birthday Splash!

 I don't think there is any little girl that I know right now who doesn't absolutely love MERMAIDS! So, after getting a new Mermaids stamp and die cutting set I got to quick work on making a set of 9 mermaid birthday cards (all similar but different) and I did some more watercolor painting to make all the backgrounds! Here's a sneak peek, but you know what to do to see the cards!

I initially started working with this set because one of our nieces had an upcoming birthday. If you notice, the mermaid on the rock has a little darker skin, our niece is mixed. I wanted her to see a mermaid could look like her!

All backgrounds are individually hand watercolor painted by me, each one is different though they are all similar. I did 3 testers of how I wanted the sunset sky and the water to look and this is what I liked the most so I went with it on everything!

All of the stamped images are hand colored by me with prismacolored pencils and blended with gamsol and then I added stickles glitter glue to the hair shells and then I die cut all the pieces out

I didn't have any pearls to match the colors I used so I dyed my own with alcohol inks

This is the sentiment that I used on the inside of all the cards.
