Hello World! Said my new baby Nephew, Daxton on June 5, 2015! He wasn't ready to see the world yet, they had to pull him outta his mama (My favorite SIL) with a vacuum suction cup! But, he made it out and is such a big boy now, growing bigger and stronger every day. He has so much family and is SO loved.
Click below to see the pics of the card I made for him, in the colors his mama had selected for his "baby colors".
Daxton's Mama had selected blue, green and red for his baby colors. Weird combo, but wouldn't expect anything less from her and my weird baby brother. LOL.
Here are a couple of pics of Daxton and I,him resting next to me, and of his mama and papa... :)
Anyhow, here is the card I made for him! Nothing too fancy...
The stamp set I used for the Giraffe was TPC Studio-Sweet Beginnings. I used my Stampin' Up! ink pads and Stampin' Up! Blender Pen to color the little cutie.
I used the sentiment tag stamp from the same stamp set, inside the card. There is a little bit of dimension to the front of the card.
Just some white ribbon on the front. The image is stamped on a white circle cut from the Circle Nestabilities, matted on top of a red Scalloped Circle from the Nestabilities.
I use the Stampin' Up! Itty Bitty Banners for the 'sweet baby' sentiment on the front. I used the Sizzix Buttons #7 die to make 2 cardstock buttons, and then attached some 3d foam pops on the back before attaching it to the card.
Inside is this sweet sentiment! I just love it. Everything about it is so true.
I really did want to do a much better card, but at the time I made this, I was going through a majorly rough time with my bipolar and I really had to no inspirations or mojo to craft. I'm really surprised I got this done. I don't really like this card all that much, so i will have to really make up for it on Daxton's 1st birthday! I know that at least this is somethign that can go in his baby book and he'll have to cherish!
Thanks for stopping by to check it out!
Keep on Craftin'
