Hey! I'm still playing catch-up on my project postings, so here are 2 more Halloween cards! I ended up making a LOT of Halloween cards. Halloween is mine and hubby's FAVORITE holiday, so I always make the cards and hand them out and mail them to friends afar. Last year was no exception, and I really out did myself!! But, I had a blast.
I'm sorry I'm so behind, life just really got in the way. But, check out these previews of my 2 cards and then click below to see the rest of the pics!!
Card Preview # 1
Card Preview # 2
My first card was for my Ma. She loved it!
For this card I used the witch with the bird from the CTMH Wicked set. I stamped her in black and then I colored her with prismacolored pencils.
I mounted the stamped and colored image on some green cardstock and then cut slits into it and added shimmery edged ribbon and tied them in knots. I used the Stampin' Up! Eyelet Border Punch and added that to some deco paper. I put the stamped and matted image on top of that.
I used some green stickles on her dress and red stickles on her at, just to give something extra so she didn't look so flat. I also added 3 gems to the top corner of the card, it just looked way too bare without them.
For the inside I used some Halloween printables and just layered them to make a cute little flag type thing. LOL.
Here is my 2nd card. This card was for my friend Diane, she is my Stampin' Up! Rep. Because I have a limited supply of craft products here in Las Vegas with me (I have a TON of craft stuff in storage in Vermont), I didn't have a Stampin' Up! Halloween stamp set, or any stamped images, so my Stampin' Up! Rep got a card made with CTMH stamps, LOL. thankfully, she didn't mind!!!
I stamped the witch in black and colored her with prismacolored pencils. I used my Creative Memories corner punch to round the edges and did the same with the green cardstock that I mounted the image on. After coloring her I used diamond stickles on her dress and her hat.
I had to add orange gems to this card in the top corner, like I did with the above card. It was just too plain without it!
I used some black shimmer ribbon over the edge of the stripped cardstock, I think made for a nice transition between it and the purple cardstock.
I stamped the image and then added some diamond stickles over the scrolling lines. I fussy cut around the image shape as best as I could. I punched out a piece of black cardstock with the Stampin' Up! Curly Label punch and then cut it in half and added it to the top and bottom of the image for a little more dimension.
For the inside of the card I used the broom from the CTMH Wicked set. I stamped it in black and then fussy cut it out and inked the edges of the end of the broom in Tim Holtz Dusty Concord distress ink. I stamped the sentiment from a Studio G mini Halloween stamp set and then punched it out with the Stampin' Up! Decorative Label punch. I inked the edges in Tim Holtz Barn Door distress ink and then attached the broom to it with some Glossy Accents.
I inked the white cardstock inside with some green catseye ink from the Colorbox.
Well, that's all for these 2 cards. I'm doing a great job of getting caught up on posting my projects from last year. Be sure to check back again I will have more posts done! I'm working hard to catch up!!!
Keep on Craftin'
