Here are 2 cards with some birdies. Click below to see the cards.
For this first card from the June Make & Take, Jeanette sent the 3 small flowers that I had to color and cut out, the bird that I had to color and cut out, the decorative paper and the stitched frame with the sentiment.
I colored the bird blue because of the light blue on the flowers in the background. I wanted to bring in more color so I went with 2 purples and a pink for the flowers. I also inked the edges of the main card base and of the frame.
It's kinda hard to see, but I used Star Dust Stickles on the middle of each flower in the top right corner and also in the middle of every flower on the deco paper. The frame is popped up from the card base with 3d foam dots and I also stacked 3d mini foam dots to give extra height to the flowers for some depth to the card. I love how it all turned out, so pretty! I didn't do anything to the inside of the card.
For this second card, it's such a cute friendship card! It's from the July Make & Take.
Jeanette sent the card base, the stitched squares, the stamped sentiment and flower and 3 squares with stamped birds.
Per her video instructions I did the best I could with stacking the birds. I went with my 3 favorite colors of birds. I colored them with my SU! inkpads and SU! Blender marker, so again, like water coloring. I inked the edge of the white mat and then the edges of all 3 squares with the birds so that they popped and had more color. I alternated the colored edges from each of the 3 birds.
For the word friendship, I outlined with the Bermuda Bay SU! marker as Jeanette had done, but I also went a bit further and outlined it with Star Dust Stickles. It sparkles SOOOOOOO pretty! I'm very pleased with how this one turned out!
Well, that's all I have for this post. I have a few other things I need to make posts for, so come back soon and check out what else I've been working on.
Keep on Craftin'
