Big Birthday Butterflies

 I don't usually make "big" cards, other than my 6" x 6" cards, but these 3 cards I made had to be BIG (tall and wide) because the butterfly and moth I used on them are really big!

These cards were fun to make. I did everything myself including making the grey butterfly background. All of the butterflies and moths are colored with prismacolored pencils and blended with gamsol.

The butterfly background was made by using the small butterfly stamp that came with the set, I just used gray ink and turned the stamp as I stamped it. So, I didn't even need any patterned paper for this card, and I like that. 

The butterflies and moths were die cut with the stamp sets coordinating dies.

For the sentiment, I used some of my handmade card candy that I make. I just take days and do nothing but make sentiment tags for different types of cards. It's nice to have something on hand and not have to always make every single element of a card.

All of the butterflies and moths are 3D, I only glued down the middle of the butterflies body and for the moth I only glued down one off the wings.

For the inside, I did the same sentiment and flowers on all 3 cards. So below, you'll just see the other 2 cards I made and not their insides.
