I needed to make a birthday card for a friend and her favorite thing is flowers on cards (she has specifically stated that if I continue to make her cards, she wishes they would all be flower cards). The last 2 flower cards I've given her have been colored so I wanted to do something different, so I did some beautiful heat embossing on this card. I ended up making a 2nd card to have on hand and made it slightly different. You know what you have to do to see this card...
For this 1st card I went with glittered gold heat embossing, which is the card I gave to my friend, the 2nd card I used a different color heat embossing, you'll be able to see that below.
After heat embossing the flowers I heat embossed the small sentiment and then die cut it with the stitched circle dies. I then used the stitched squares dies to make a polaroid type frame, just nesting a smaller frame die inside the larger when I cut it out. Here is the 2nd card, it's the same, I just used silver embossing powder, and it's my favorite of the two cards because I love everything silver!
I think the flowers came out more clear with this silver embossing powder than they did with the glittery gold powder. But that's ok, both are still very pretty.
I hope that you enjoyed this simple, yet elegant card. It's a good way to highlight one part of a beautiful part of a large stamp.
Please come back soon to check out what I've made, I still have lots to share with you. Thanks for stopping by!
