Water colored floral Birthday

My sister in law recently had a birthday and she likes flowers. So I knew I had to make her a flower card.

Here's a sneak peek of the card, but you know what you have to do to see the rest, click below.

I haven't used this stamp set in a very long time, mainly because it's kinda hard to use unless you want everything all the same color ink or unless you're going to be doing a lot of masking which would be hard to do with all the small pieces of flowers.

Here's what I came up with. EVERY part of the flowers and the middle mandala are all colored with SU! Stamp and Write markers, so that way it gives all the flowers and the mandala a water colored look.

I used a scalloped edge punch to make a long border and I put some deco paper over that. To mask the edge of the border and paper I used some bakers twine and did a row of 3. For the mandala I added a scalloped circle behind the base circle and I made it 3D with some foam 3D pop ups.

For the sentiment on the inside I did the same thing as far as ink, I used the markers to color the stamp before stamping.

That's all for this card, I hope you enjoyed it and I hope it inspires you to try a new technique for your card making to make a water colored card.

Check back soon I have a lot more to share.

Keep on Craftin'!
